There is always a familiar rhythm to the start of a new year. Fresh starts. New resolutions. Bold intentions that sound good in January and quietly dissolve by March.
I want to do something different this year.
Recently, I spent time immersed in the thinking of Tony Robbins attending the Date With Destiny conference, for 6 days and nights. This is truly a life transformational journey. Strip away the noise, and one insight stood out with absolute clarity: breakthroughs are rarely blocked by resources, markets, or timing. They are blocked by the stories we tell ourselves about why something is not possible. Where focus goes, energy flows.
We live in a limitless world, yet most people operate inside boundaries they never consciously chose. In 2026, my ask is simple: Take the lid off.
It is human nature to default to precedent, 90-95% of our daily thoughts are rooted in past experiences, memories, conditioning and emotional patterns. We look at historical data and assume today must look like yesterday. That approach feels responsible, but it is also restrictive and totally reactive.
Relying exclusively on the past to predict the future is like driving forward while staring into the rearview mirror. Eventually, progress stalls or something breaks.
One of Robbins’ core principles is that complexity is the enemy of execution. Occams has always excelled at taking complex problems and turning them into clear, actionable solutions for clients. In 2026, we must apply that same discipline internally.
Your value is not defined by a job description. The universe does not run on standard operating procedures, and neither should your ambition. If you see a better way of doing something, say it. If you see an opportunity we are not pursuing, take ownership of it. Momentum is created by initiative, not permission.
Every year brings disruption. Markets evolve. Technology accelerates. Expectations rise. The explosion of AI has forever changed the world as we knew it. Our access to information has not only grown exponentially, but it is instantaneous.
The gap between identifying opportunity and executing on it is the shortest it has ever been and is only shrinking. If we do not take massive action on identified opportunities the window will close right before our eyes.
What makes 2026 different is not the presence of challenges, but the scale of opportunity.
In sports, elite performance often comes down to microscopic adjustments. A two-millimeter shift at the point of impact can be the difference between success and failure.
The same principle applies to careers and organizations.
So here is my challenge to you: What is your two-millimeter shift for 2026? What single limiting belief can you drop today? The belief that you are not technical enough. Not senior enough. Not ready yet.
Remove one constraint, and the entire trajectory of the year changes.
Our greatest asset is not software, infrastructure, or office space. It is the collective intelligence, courage, and ambition of this team.
My commitment is to continue creating an environment where ideas can be tested, assumptions challenged, and ambitions expanded – where thinking bigger is encouraged rather than contained
The world is not asking for cautious leadership right now. It is asking for clarity, conviction, and people willing to step beyond what feels comfortable.
2026 is wide open. Let’s stop playing small. Let’s build something extraordinary.
